I have the WORLD’S BEST HUSBAND!! He is always soo wonderful and sweet and loving….but every now and then, he just is the BEST EVER! Like…for example, this past week, he tells me to block the first week in December b/c we are going away for an anniversary suprise! YAAAAY!!! I’m soooo excited!! He won’t tell me anything…except for that he is apparently going to try to buy me a special dress for some special event we’re going to! Should be good! (even though I’m a tad bit concerned…because I have a pretty specific style….keeping my fingers crossed!!) Also..this past weekend at my wedding, he was the oh-so-lovely assistant…which he usually is…and I was in my usual hurry to leave the Church and meet my couple at our off site photographing location…well, it was about 327 degrees out….aka miserable…and so I ran back to my car after the formal exit and that amazing husband of mine had my car running, the air on so it was nice and cool, a cold bottle of water in my cupholder, both camera’s sitting in my console ready with the appropriate lenses, cf cards & batteries, the rest of the equipment loaded and ready to go…. and he greeted me with my door held open and a kiss!

HELLO…he is the BEST!!!!!!! Oh, I just love HIM!!! Later that night, he proceeded to walk a half of a mile to my car to get my jacket so I wouldn’t be cold! Then, he waited up late for me to get home so he can be sure I made it home safe and help me unload my car!! See…HE’S SOO GRRRREAT!!!! Welllllllll, yesterday, I got home from my meetings and sure enough, he’d gone to the grocery for me b/c he knew we were out of Milk and other stuff….and he came home with these gorgeous red roses and they were sitting on the table FOR ME!!!! Yes, ME!! Wow…..he’s soooooo YUMMY that husband of mine! I’ll report back with pics of the “special secretive trip” in December! So…stay tuned…till December!!! hehe! In the meantime, I just wanted to let ya’ll know that MY HUSBAND ROCKS!!! LOVE YOU, BABE!!!!

YAAAAAAAY…..our friends are FINALLY engaged!!!! Melissa & Gary are Mark & I’s very close friends…and they are soo very special to us!! As I have said before, Mel is one of my closest friends…we’ve been friends since college when we lived together! Well….one day, several years ago, I begged her to go to Gary Fong’s digital photography seminar with me! She went and we ended up having dinner that night with Gary and having our usual “deep thought” conversations…and we left…laughing about the whole thing (b/c there were quite a few funny experiences involved too!) Then, Mel & Gary proceeded to talk on the phone every now and then…which turned into all the time, which turned into them traveling to see each other, which turned into her moving to Canada to be with him….and NOW THEY ARE FINALLY ENGAGED!!! YAAAAY!!!!!! Well, Gary has been planning the engagement for a little while and I have been involved…giving my opinions on rings, diamond sizes, etc! I’ve been totally avoiding Mel b/c I didn’t want to give it away or act nervous and have her wonder what on earth was going on! Soo…anyway, they are in Hawaii and it finally happened!! They recently bought an amazing ranch in British Columbia, Canada…and the wedding will be there! It’s going to be soo amazing and special…I literally cannot wait! Mel and Gary have the most special relationship! It’s great!

They both have very specific, very distinctive personality types and it’s soo funny…their personalities, although different….just mesh perfectly! I’ve watched Mel go through many relationships that just weren’t a fit for her…and when I saw her and Gary together for the first time, I realized….this is the perfect fit for her and her personality! He compliments her in all the right ways and softened the rough edges that needed softened on her…and she does the exact same for him! I just love it!! I’m soo happy for them…I can’t even tell you ! CONGRATS, Mel & Gary! We love you and CANNOT wait until Next August! YAAAAAY!!!!!
