Ok, so GET THIS! Mark was reading Reader’s Digest (he’s the reader in the family, i’m definitely the one that goes for the pictures! ha!) and he says, Wow…listen to this. Now, he knows I love candy corn and I wait for halloween for it to come out! Come to think of it, I kind of have a favorite candy with each holiday, that I wait for….it’s speckled jelly bean eggs for easter, conversation hearts for valentines day, etc! I never realized that until now! Ok, anyway…I digress, as usual! SO, the CANDY CORN story!! He says, “do you know why you have never seen an advertisment or promo ad for CANDY CORN!?! I say, “NO”, simultaneously racking my minds library of ads I’ve seen in my life to realize, he’s RIGHT, I’ve never seen a CANDY CORN advertisement. He says, “that is because ALL the candy corn that was EVER made was made in 1911 and they have NEVER made any more since! So, they only have soo much and have to distribute it evenly and slowly…..so they can’t advertise it or they would RUN OUT”. Of course, my immediate reaction is, THAT IS SUCH A LIE!!! Although, I hadn’t really ever thought reader’s digest was known to LIE!! So, then I can’t help but say, “so what you are saying is that those HUGE metal cylinders that you see in the middle of fields as you are driving on the highway or a country road are full of the CANDY CORN SUPPLY FOR THE WORLD!?!” I mean…get SERIOUS!!! Although, if that is true….watch out because I’m going to go raid one of those metal things!! Isn’t that CRAZY??? Honestly, I don’t totally believe it…but I did read it with my own two eyes!! So, there is your shocking fact of the day, if, in fact, you consider that shocking OR you consider that to be a fact!
When I called Chrissy on my way to meet her, to wish her a happy wedding day and get her suite number, I got the sad news that she had the FLU, got it in the middle of the rehearsal and had been sick ever since! My heart broke for her, I could tell that she was just spent and was pretty frustrated. I didn’t blame her one bit! I knew it was going to be an interesting day…but I’ll tell you, we did what we could….she was incredible and pulled through like a serious champ! I don’t know how she did it, I would have been dead if I had been through what she had! I have also never seen a girl with the flu look soo gorgeous!! Chrissy & Chad are such a wonderful, sweet couple! They adore each other soo much and that’s my favorite thing to see on a wedding day!! They have been together since the 7th grade, so this day was a long time coming! There are two ring pictures below and the small, sweet ring is the promise ring that Chad gave Chrissy when they were kids!! She said that while her engagement ring means the world to her, her promise ring is almost more special to her! I completely understand!! It was also a gorgeous, very well planned wedding!! Chrissy & her Mom were incredible and planned this wedding like PROS!!
Their wedding day was also probably one of the best days of the summer, weather wise! It was 65 degrees, perfect blue sky, bright sun and no humidity!! The kind of day I LIVE for!
Chrissy & Chad, I hope you are enjoying an incredible honeymoon, a lot of good health and some recovery time!
Much love to you both!
(oh and yes, i’m behind on blogging…i’m sorry!!! for all of you waiting on your posts, I will get to it ASAP!!)

One of Mark’s images…he’s a terrific photographer! (and this was shot from the car where he was waiting for me! ha!)
