She is due in September and our sweet little Charli just turned 2 in June and is growing like a weed, so it was time for more pictures!! I love these three people like crazy….and the 4th one inside too!! ;) We don’t know if it’s a girl or boy yet so I’ll be excited to announce it when the baby arrives!!


My sister is stunning….and it’s not fair that she got the gorgeous eyes and I just got boring hazel eyes. I’m a little bitter…I’ll admit it. ;) And gosh, is Charli precious or WHAT?? I’m probably biased, though!

Charli is getting SOOO big and is soo beautiful…I can barely stand it!! I’m soo crazy about that little girl…she lights up all of our lives!! She is also crazy about Sophie or “fofo” as she calls her, in her best effort to say Sophie! She constantly wants to give her kisses and love on her!! Charli’s favorite things at age 2 are her baby doll, her bike and elmo, or “melmo” as she calls him!! When you ask her who her best friend is, she says “AJ” (aunt jess!) and that’s me! Melt my heart!! ;) I realize I’m going to quickly be replaced by Sophie, though…and I will happily relinquish my position to her! ;)

My absolute favorite!! AYKM with this cuteness? Gosh, I want to be 2 again!!!

I bought these boots for Charli before she was born and I knew I wanted to incorporate them into a shoot at some point! I couldn’t resist just doing the boots with that cute little naked, tan summer body! Hilarious!!

The blog has been waiting for this one for a WHILE and I can’t believe it’s finally here!! :)

I know, I know…. it’s already overdue and I’m a bit behind…but you know what they say…the shoemakers kids never have shoes…or something like that! ;) It’s crazy how much harder it is to stop and get a photo shoot in when you aren’t just the photographer coming in for a shoot….instead, you are the mom, the milk machine ;) , the diaper changer, the house cleaner, trying to get enough sleep to function, still run the business and then being the photographer on top of all of that! Phew, it’s crazy…but we are loving it, still! :)

Here is our sweet and precious Sophie at one week old!!

I had a little inspiration from the insanely talented newborn photographer, Carrie Sandoval with Captured by Carrie…but since I couldn’t get Sophie out to her studio in San Diego, I decided to try it on my own! Plus I was only brave enough to try it on my own child versus someone else’s! ;)

I don’t know what I did to deserve them but GOSH, they treat me like a queen!! My mom and sister threw this INCREDIBLE shower for me at the facility that they own and run, the Palomino Ballroom….along with help from my mother in law, sister in law and several great friends! They went overboard and created the most amazing shower ever!! It was just awesome and I felt sooo special! It was complete with incredible decor, butler passed hors d’oeuvres, custom martini’s (non-alcoholic, of course!), an awesome pasta bar for lunch, games, loads of great gifts and MUCH more!!! Soo many of my dearest friends and family came to be with me and made it truly mean soo much! I am soo grateful to have such incredible people in my life!! THANK YOU Mom, Jenny, Linda, Hannah, Lindsay, Erika & Kelly!! I love you all and I truly can’t thank you enough for EVERYTHING that you have done for me and little little baby girl!!!! OH…and a quick baby update! Even though she isn’t due until March 13th, my Doctor discovered that this baby might be making an early appearance because I’m “ready” (dilated, effaced, contractions, etc) a bit earlier than they expected! Although, it’s anyone’s guess when she will actually arrive (knowing my luck, she will make me deal with this for several more weeks, show up late and have fooled us all!), everything is in place for it to be any time! So, wish me luck!! I’ll certainly do a baby update when the little one arrives!! :)

Mark made an appearance which was FUN and special! :) And my Momma and I!

He is seriously the sweetest little guy in the world! He is soo tiny….born at 5 lbs, 8 oz and left the hospital (the day of these pics) at 5 lbs, 3 oz. You almost don’t even know you are holding him because he’s such a little peanut. I could seriously just eat him up, though….he is incredibly precious!! Lindsay has been one of my closest friends since I can remember….and to watch her have a baby has been such a special and exciting experience! L&W….we love you guys soo much and are soo happy for you!!! WELCOME TO THE WORLD, Jayden! ;) Your Aunt Jess will have a friend for you to play with soon! ;)

I just had a feeling….a feeling that I might be PREGNANT! After waking Mark, we took the test. The two of us stood over this little pink and white stick and stared at it like we’ve never really stared at anything…like it was about to potentially change the rest of our lives. We kept staring…and staring….and after what felt like an hour, a VERY faint line appeared. A kindof funky, not clear, sort of faded mess of a line. We look at each other….totally confused…it wasn’t exactly the way it played out in our heads….we expected to be crazy excited…but instead we were laughing about how it was totally like us to not even be able to figure out if we were pregnant or not. So, of course, we take another test. This time….the line showed up in like .2 seconds. We both look at each other in shock and total excitement. It’s funny how you can be so hoping and expecting for something…but then when you actually see it….you are in shock and disbelief! HA! So, then we do the usual back and forth of one was practically negative, one was positive…WHAT does that mean? So, yes…a third test is in order! And sure enough, the third one was POSITIVE…and so it’s TRUE! I’m PREGNANT!!!! We are thrilled and feeling beyond blessed (and glad that people will stop asking us if we’ll ever have kids after nearly 7 years of marriage!)!! We decided to wait until our first appointment to share the news because I’m crazy and I just didn’t feel like it was 100% legit until the Doctor told us it was…and she did just that yesterday at our first visit! ha! We got to see our little peanut for the first time and hear/see the heartbeat! It was just awesome and totally amazing!! I am official 9 weeks tomorrow and due on March 13th!!! So, again, I apologize for being behind on practically everything but between the move, the temp living and then days of endless nausea and overwhelming exhaustion…I’ve just been doing the best I can! :) So…meet our sweet little baby!!! It’s fair to say that we couldn’t be more in love with this little fuzzy grey peanut!!! (it’s upside down…..head is at the bottom, the hands are the bumpout in the middle on the left and the feet at the very top)
