It’s no secret that the Superbowl was in my beloved hometown of Indianapolis….and if I do say so myself, Indy shined in all it’s glory during the entire Superbowl week! I was beyond impressed with how fantastic everything went, from the very beginning until we were bidding the masses that descended upon our city farewell! The reviews are in, everyone else was equally amazed with how great our “little city that could” did….and while I had no doubts, I was still blown away with just how awesome the entire week was! It was truly SOO much fun, the city came together like NEVER before (even though we do host quite a few sporting events), the coordination and execution was flawless, the weather was almost unbelievable (sunny and in the 50’s…in early February!!), the media stories talking about how great/clean/hospital/walkable/fun/better than any superbowl YET just kept pouring in and still do….and if we Hoosier’s were being honest, we would say that we all felt as proud as a Momma watching her child have the lead role in the play…as our hometown was showered with adoration and fame! We all love our city, we really do….but to know that everyone else not only LOVED it, but can’t wait to come BACK to Indy for another Superbowl, is just the cherry on top!! I was fortunate to get to photograph some cool stuff while the celebs were in town and the spotlight was on our city, but sadly, I can’t show you any of those thanks to all kinds of NFL regulations! (boo!) What I CAN show you is one very cool little experience I had while photograping the Today Show!! It was awesome having Ann & Al (who are SOO NICE! Ann kissed my hand after I told her that I had faithfully watched the Today Show for 15 years!) in town! We got to see Jimmy Fallon (who became an honorary Hoosier for the week with how much love he gave our city!), Adam Levine, Gym Class Heros & Neon Hitch. Al even did the zipline in Superbowl Village! It was SUCH a fun morning…and SUCH a fun week!!
