]]> I LOVE my albums, if I do say so myself! I have a wonderful album company, Leather Craftsmen, that custom creates each and every album….and they are all awesome works of art! I specifically design the albums to be timeless and classic, while staying modern and fresh and my company follows that through making the end result something that you will LOVE to look at today and in 25 years!!

My company recently introduced a new album material, Japanese Book Cloth (in addition to the terrific leather & suede choices that we already offer) . It’s a beautiful raw silk fabric that is a great balance of style & durability! There is no additional charge for any material…it’s included in the simple, one rate album cost!

There is also a new option to purchase album sleeves, in the matching material as the album cover! The sleeves are a great option for protecting and storing the album! Sleeves are $200 for an 8×8 album, $250 for a 10×10 album and $300 for the 12×12 album!

Lastly, there is a new MODERN DESIGN option for album layout design style! This is EXCITING!! :) Up until now, there has been only one choice for the layout design style, which is the CLASSIC DESIGN and now the MODERN DESIGN will be a second choice for the design style of the album page layouts! The CLASSIC DESIGN features more black backgrounds, opaque image backgrounds, image borders, lots of image overlays and an overall timeless, classic look. The new MODERN DESIGN features all white backgrounds, seamlessly connecting images, no image borders and an overall bright, modern look. Clients will now be asked for their choice of design style once they have chosen their album images and their design begins!

]]> Most people know that I give proofs with everything that I photograph, included in the session fee. That simply means that I give a 4×6 print of each and every image that I take, whether it be a wedding, childrens shoot, baby shoot, family shoot, senior shoot, fashion shoot, etc! However, many people have told me that they get very frustrated with the proofs! They don’t really use them, maybe only 4 or 5 for framing, they are frustrating to deal with and attempt to thumb through to find anything, they get way more than they will ever use, etc. With a wedding, you get an average of 1000 proofs(or more, lately….poor Kara & Peter…from a few weeks back…. got 1800 prints!! yikes!!!)!! Oh…and yes, feel free to join the masses and say “what on earth would a person every do with 1000 4×6 prints!! I hear it all the time! So, wedding people have often shared that they think having 1000 prints is crazy to them, they can’t ever get through all of them, finding a specific image within the 1000 is almost impossible, toting them around for everyone to see is challenging and they just aren’t sure what they would ever do with 1000 images because you clearly can’t frame that many images! Scrapbookers love them…but that’s about it. Now, they have all mentioned that they enjoy having prints of some sort, but the general consensus is that they would MUCH prefer something that is easier to tote around, easier to show people, makes referencing prints easy, allows you to see the whole wedding quickly & easily and is all around convenient then having 1000 proofs! I do agree with everyones thoughts and opinions…and I always want to work to offer what my clients want! Soo, after doing quite a bit of research, I’m confident that I have found the coolest way to go about this and please EVERYONE!! SO, beginning September 1st…..you have the CHOICE of sticking with the traditional 4×6 proofs(because I know some people like them and that is FINE!) or INSTEAD, going with the cool proof book!!!! So, if you are a client of mine and you have a wedding coming up…and YOU KNOW you would RATHER choose the PROOF BOOK over normal proofs, PLEASE email me and say, PROOF BOOK PLEASE! ;) (the book is 11×14 in size and the cover of the book is an image covered by a clear frosted acectate page.)

Attention clients…..I have a super cool product to show you! :) They are print canvases…which I know is nothing new..
but they are SOO cool! I have used these for my own personal art for a long time…and I use them to show my work in wedding shops, etc….but I’ve never thought about doing these for clients until a friend of mine asked if I could have them done for her, of her wedding images…for her own personal art! Of course, I was like…oh yea..you will totally love them, they are SOO cool! Then, my husband asked why I don’t show these to clients ever…because they would love them if I did! SOO, I was like DUHH….I should show these to clients and offer them so that client’s can have super cool wall art TOO! The best part is that they are raw wrapped canvas with no frame…and they are 100% ready to hang! Also, the ones shown are 1-1/8 thick canvases, but they also offer 2-1/2 crazy cool thick canvases, so the canvas literally sits 2-1/2 inches off of the wall! Yea, we LOVE that!! Also, in my personal opinon, they are really affordable…especially considering that they are totally custom, totally cool wall art for your home…and they are ready to frame when they arrive! For example, a 16×20 is $200, 16×24 is $235, 20×24 is $275, 24×30 is $330 and 30×40 is $400! You can also do panoramic sizes…and squares…which are my two personal favorites! I think those prices are awesome…considering what you would pay to have any other kind of custom wall art done in those sizes!! So, just had to show you!
