FINALLY…I was able to create the time to get the images on the blog! PHEW! I’m SOO sorry for those of you who have checked it a hundred times and are starting to hate me for not getting this post up sooner! Thank you for being patient….I’m just soo super busy right now!
Cathy & Ricky had an absolutely perfect wedding!! I enjoyed it soo very much! The weather was amazing…83 degrees, perfect blue sky, puffy clouds…..the venues were absolutely fantastic….the Indianapolis Museum of Art is truly the best venue in the city(and the main place I photograph on an almost daily basis…that is how much I LOVE it!), the details were incredible and very special, the food was soo great, the photographing opportunities were just endless….the entire day was just wonderful! Cathy & Ricky also looked soo fantastic…Cathy has the most incredible blue eyes…and you know how I love photographing blue eyes! (see what I mean below!) I also soo enjoyed Cathy & Ricky’s families & their friends! Everyone was soo warm & kind…and great to work with! Ricky is actually from South Africa, so his family & friends came from there to spend this special day with Cathy & Ricky! It was also SUCH a fun wedding…complete with a rapper who kept the party going! He is a close friend of the bride & groom…and he’s an incredible..and super fun! Noone wanted the fun to end! It was an all around perfect day and I was really soo honored to be a part of it! Thanks soo much, Cathy & Ricky….hope you are loving Puerta Vallarta…and love your “sneak peek”!

Hi Jessica,
These pics were well worth the wait. Great shots! Several of them surprised me by being a bit different from your normal style but still spetacular none the less. I particularly like the shot of the back of a very contemplative looking bride clutching her bouquet. Wonderful job!

Hello, everyone! Wow…thank you soo very kindly for your wonderful words! I appreciate them soo very much and am sooo encouraged by them!!
Jen…i’m soo glad that you finally commented! it was GREAT meeting you!
Brandon…thank you for your great advice with the situation last week! This is the conclusion that I came to: if those people are going to continue to copy my work soo closely, then I hope they plan to put their “KEEPIN UP” shoes on because I only plan to get bigger & better!!!
Melissa…thanks for your comment! My guess about you being surprised by the varying style of images you are seeing is that this post has LOTS more images than I normally post for a wedding, so you are seeing more of a variety than I normally show! I usually have that kind of variety in my entire image collection, it’s simply not always shown in the 50 or so images that make it on the blog! Funny thing….I actually learned on this wedding post that this blog has a “max capacity” on images allowed in a post. I had about 10 more images that I wanted to include in this wedding post, but the blog had another plan in mind…and I learned that there is a MAX! I guess that means that I’m getting out of control! eek! I just couldn’t help myself….
Thanks again, everyone! ![]()

Jess, I notice a lot of comments from their friends. How do you promote the blog to guests?? Or did the bride just forward your site on? I used to give the bride cards with their names on it and my website inviting them to view their wedding photos and they could put them out at the reception and it worked really great. For some reason I have slacked off on this lately!!
GREAT photos, I always enjoy looking at your work, gives me inspiration to step up my game at every wedding!!

Hi Jessica,
After seeing the question posed to you by Amy Zellmer about promoting your blog, I thought I would pass on a cool thing I saw at a wedding I was at a few weeks ago. Amy might appreciate the idea too. Anyways, the wedding photographer had also done the couple’s engagement session and at the reception they had a table set up with a picture from that session as well as a framed one for guests to sign. I know that is pretty common but what was different about it was that placed around the table were stacks of wallet size prints of a variety of shots from their engagement session for guests to take. On the back was a sticker that invited guests to log on to the photographer’s website after a certain date to view the wedding photos and place orders direct online. I thought it was a much better idea than just handing out business cards and the guests were much more likely to take home a picture of the couple than a business card. I thought it was a great idea. I had never seen it before so I thought I would pass it along. Have a great day!

Cool idea Melissa! I don’t actually put out biz cards, I put out a card with their name and wedding date on it and my website at the bottom, but I think it would be a lot more fun with their engagement photo on it! Unfortunately, not every single one of my couples has me take their engagements (even though it’s included in their package) so I guess sometimes I would still have to do the old method. Thanks for sharing, having an assortment of images would be fun, peole would be sure to take one or two (or three)…..
