I know that LOTS of people use the internet browser, FIREFOX!! (myself included) I have ALWAYS hated it’s lack of color management, though!! However, with the recent update on Firefox, they included a way to have it be color managed! YAY!! I did the change and I’ve noticed a HUGE difference!! If you haven’t heard, Indy has turned into QUITE the hub for photographers!! I remember a day roughly 6-8 years ago when I was among the only 10 wedding photographers in INDY (i feel like I should be a grandma or something! ha!) and last I heard there were over 350 wedding photogs here! If you are a photographer who edits your images, you MUST see this new product! I am BLOWN away by it…..really! It’s called VIVEZA and it’s a NIK PLUG IN for PHOTOSHOP. It’s literally like combining many photoshop tools into one mini application that does completely customized adjustments on images with incredible speed and ease! I just watched all of the demos and I’m sitting her in awe of this!! YOU MUST check this out!! I HIGHLY recommend checking out all the demo’s to see the full capability of VIVEZA! INCREDIBLE!!! BORDERLINE….REVOLUTIONARY!!!

Soooo, the rumor on the street is that my uber-fabulous album company, Leather Craftsmen, is UNVEILING a NEW kind of album at WPPI!!! I am MUCHO excited about this and I just HAD to tell you!!!! So, if you are at WPPI…STOP by and SEE what it is! I REALLY have no idea, I just have heard rumors!!! I LOVE rumors about photo stuff…i’m SUCH a geek!

I’m a girl who LOVES good fonts…but I find it challenging to find the fonts I like! I just like clean, no fluff fonts…straight lines, modern…no other monkey business! So….I came across a GREAT link with cool fonts for professional use!! LOVE THEM!! CLICK HERE TO CHECK THEM OUT!!

about blogs! Ya know…sometimes, I’m just amazed and overwhelmed at the INCREDIBLE amount of content within the internet…about positively everything and anything! Ya know what I love, though….when it’s GOOD and thoughtful…and USEFUL….and looks COOL!!! It’s like this amazing tool, the internet, that is still really a baby in terms of lifespan, but yet people have taken it and done SUCH awesome, inspiring, cool things with it…..

When I discover things like smashing magazine, great photographers blog, great useful info sites, sites that INSPIRE and SITES like THIS ONE\….I am reminded of just that!!!

NORTHxEAST is a really cool blog that has LOADS of great info about blogging…learning to blog, being successful at blogging, getting your blog to the masses, learning from blogs, etc!! YOU SHOULD CHECK THIS OUT!!!! I’ve only read like 10 posts…and I’ve learned lots of GREAT info!! And really, WHO doesn’t love GREAT info that is free!!! …i love the internet….

I’ve been in search of a SIMPLE organizational software for a LONG TIME and recently found one that is GREAT, called BACKPACK!!

It’s basically a software program that allows you to create a main project (i.e…clients, in my case) and connect notes, to do lists, projects, reminders, contact info, events, important dates and MORE with those projects (i.e…clients!)! It’s not specifically for photography, but also can be used for anything….which is ANOTHER feature I like about it!! Click here to see LOTS of examples of it’s use! I know that there are COUNTLESS programs that do things just like this, so you might be wondering why I don’t use one that is made for photographers…but for me, I HATE ultra complicated stuff that has a million features that I will NEVER use! I prefer a program that has JUST what I need, is simple and VERY easy to use and is CHEAP!!! This program is ALL of those things!! It emails me for all of my reminders and allows me to schedule reminders several years out (helpful with weddings that could be more than a year away) and just does TONS of great but SIMPLE stuff!!

I found this GREAT site that shows all the PLACES IN YOUR CITY THAT OFFER FREE WIFI INTERNET!!! I am a VERY frequent Starbucks visitor, but I HATE that you have to pay for their internet!! So, I use this list a lot!!! My favorite place with FREE WIFI is PANERA…because WHO CAN BEAT yummy soup in a breadbowl, homemade lemonade, comfy chairs in front of fireplaces AND FREE internet….ALL IN ONE PLACE!!! If you don’t have a Panera, though, then CHECK OUT THIS LIST!!!! You can also see if the hotel you are heading to on your next trip or the airport your next layover is at offers free wifi!!
