that I LOVE THE new PHOTOSHOP CS3 with BRIDGE and ADOBE CAMERA RAW!??? Well, I DO!! I use ACR for all of my editing and have REALLY been wanting them to make some changes to it, for some time now….and FINALLY, they did!!! :) You NOW have the ability to control saturation in LOTS of ways, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!! You can control the vibrancy and saturation, then pull the saturation from certain colors…which is really helpful! There are also lots of different brightness features, such as a fill light slider and a recovery slider. You also have have a built in healing tool and cloning tool, which is SOOO fantastic! It’s also fast and has TONS of great new and updated features!!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I have yet to really see what’s new on CS3, but I’m sure it’s pretty rockin’ TOO!! :) CHECK IT OUT!!!

OK! You sold me on Adobe Camera RAW. I’m Nikon Capture NX kinda dude, but if Adobe starts synchronizing ADR with Photoshop a bit more, then I seriously have to consider looking at ACR.

BTW, I diddled around with CS3 the past few days on a new Pentium 2.66GHz duo-core iMac, and I just love the new interface layout of PS CS3. It’s far more intuitive and you can horizontally collapse your pallets to maximize your working space. I can’t wait to dive deeper into CS3. This also true of Adobe Illustrator CS3 (not sure how many designers read the blog).

BTW, if anyone is putzing around on an old PowerMac G4 (800MHz or slower), the little ol’ 24″ iMac (as stated above) with 3-gigs of RAM will knock your socks off. I now have computer AND application lust.

Are you PC or Mac? I have been using CS2 and ACR for a year now and my computer just moves so dang slow I can’t take it anymore. I have added everything I possibly can to upgrade my computer but still being eaten alive by editing my raw files !! Did Bridge function any better on CS3 - any faster? I think it is time for a new computer for me.

At first I thought it was ACR just slow, but I just bought Lightroom and it is moving slowly as well - so I guess it is my computer. I am wanting to buy CS3 to see if it helps, but now I think I need to buy CS3 WITH a new computer.
