Claire & Greg had a beautiful wedding at the Fort Wayne Country Club, in Fort Wayne, Indiana! It was a perfect sunny day…just a bit hot at 92 degrees! We made it through, though and all turned out great! Claire has a very classic style and that showed in soo many ways in the wedding…from the details, to the meticulous organization, to the fact that the lace on her dress matched the lace on her program, to the specific photographs that she wanted me to take! It was very elegant and went very smoothly. Claire’s parents completely adore their daughter and did everything in their power to give their little girl the fairy tale “garden wedding” she dreamed of (without the bugs…as she said! hehe!). I believe she got that wedding and also the guy she has loved for soo long. I hope it was all you have dreamed of, Claire! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it! Have a wonderful honeymoon! 🙂

  1. That should read…I was going to leave A comment….but I am speechless!

    I am also a DORK! 🙂

You made Ft. Wayne look like Southern California.

  2. Your details shots are always SOOO amazing! I love the shoe shot! Also, nice black and whites of the bride…Woo Hoo!

I could go on and on….

  3. Best stuff EVER. The details just suck you in… Can you come shoot details at my weddings! WOW!

  4. Wait, I forgot to ask what lense you are shooting most of those details at… is that the 50 1.4, wide open?

  5. Hi Jessica…

Just a quick note to let you know how fantastic the photos are that you have posted from my brother’s wedding. I am so amazed by how quickly you were able to provide a sampling, and I can’t wait to see the rest. Your blog has already been widely circulated among my friends, and the response is consistent: what a fabulously talented photographer! Thank you for your great work!

    All the best…

  7. Jessica, we are thrilled by the artistic beauty of the photographs of Greg and Claire’s wedding. They are simply fabulous!!! You have an incredible eye for details, color, and composition. Also, it is very rare to find a creative talent that is so incredibly well-organized. We are very glad Claire found you. We eagerly look forward to seeing all the rest of the pictures. Thanks so much to you and Mark for your superlative effort on a very hot day. We are so pleased.

  8. BEAUTIFUL photos (as always)!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the last photo of the golf course! They should totally have a HUGE one in their lobby at the course! Looks like you had a perfect day for outdoor photos.

Question for you, do you do many photos inside the church? I rarely see any, and am just curious if it’s just chance that you don’t post those, or if you try to do mostly outside etc.? I know a lot of photographers who try to only shoot the actual ceremony in the church (because not all churches are pretty).

  9. Wow! You’re comments are SOOOO kind, everyone! Thank you soo soo much! It really means soo very much! 🙂

Amber…I’m actually just keeping my 85 1.2 L on for details…and shooting it at 1.8 or 1.4….I really haven’t been switching off of that lens much lately… unless I need a wider angle.

Amy…I do shoot photos in the Church…but I don’t do very many. In this case, there was no Church, the ceremony was on the balcony at the Golf Club. If I do shoot in a Church, though…I just shoot larger family groupings b/c those work well at the altar(smaller groupings are outside, near windows, somewhere fun)…and I shoot the altar pics with my 24-70 at 2.8, with the original lightsphere on my flash(the hard one with the funny shape). It never totals more than 20-30 pics, though.

Ellen & Carol…thank you SOO much for your words! It was a great day, I was honored to be a part of it! 🙂

Thanks again, everyone…your kind words really have made my day! 🙂

  10. Dear Jessica,

Perhaps it is fitting that the final comment should come from me, the father-of-the-bride. And in so doing, I am happy to turn a compliment previously paid to you in a private e-mail into a public testimonial.

Your photos have made my already-beautiful daughter a “cover girl” and her lovely wedding a “feature story” — lifted, as it were, right out of the pages of one of those bridal magazines.

What better way to let everyone relive the magic of that special day, over and over again!

    With my most sincere thanks,
    Tom Wooding
