I have decided to SELL my CANON 50 1.2!! I am just WAAAY to addicted to my 85 1.2 and so, honestly and truly, I just don’t use the 50 1.2 all that much after spending a long time relying on the 85 before the 50 came along. It’s obviously an amazing and extremely popular lens, the stats on it are proof of that and it’s one of the hottest new items of the year…..but it just doesn’t fit my personal shooting style as much as the 85 1.2 and 135 2.0 do, SOOO…I have decided to SELL IT!!! I’m a firm believer in not keeping equipment unless it fits my personal style and I use it ALOT….because, for one…equipment is too pricey AND cause other people could be creating amazing images with it!!

I purchased it BRAND SPANKING NEW the very day it arrived for the first time at my local distributor! It is still in FLAWLESS condition and is from a very good, warm & loving home!! I’m selling it for $1300….so EMAIL ME @ jess@jessicastrickland.com if you are interested!! You can send me a check or pay by paypal! :)

Ugh! I’m crushed. I thought we were both 50mm and 85mm shooters. lol. …Now that you’ve had a taste of the 85/1.2L and the 135/2L, it doesn’t surprise me. The 135L is a dreamy chunk of glass.

Interesting comment on selling your equipment. I was thinking of getting rid of my Nikkor 105/2DC because I haven’t used it as often as my 50mm, 85mm or 180mm primes. But it’s such fantastic lens it’s hard to part with it. …especially shooting outdoors.

You guys are all soo funny! ;)

Rob…something tells me that your images might be a little funky if you did that! ;)

Craig…it was a tough decision for me to party with this because I really love this lens, but I just can’t justify keeping equipment around, that is pretty pricey, IF I’m not getting GOOD use out of it! My husband said this morning that he couldn’t believe I was selling this because I was SOO excited about it that he thought I was going to sell HIM to be able to get this lens! ha!! I’m not a clutter, person, though….I hate clutter in every area of my life, so I think it’s the same with equipment. If it’s not getting enough use to justify it’s cost, then it’s time to sell it and let someone else enjoy it! I’ll probably change my mind after it’s gone, but for now…I want someone else to be able to get good use out of it because it’s a really amazing lens.

B…you weren’t blocked…for some reason it wanted me to moderate your comment! ;) Yes, that is a sweet image….and thanks alot, now you are making me second guess my decision! HEY…btw…sorry I missed you on the circle this past weekend!! Gosh, it was the PLACE to be!! ;)
