A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
WITH A NEW BLOG...AND A QUESTION FOR YOU!
As you might have noticed, we have a bit of a facelit around here! We went for a fresh, bright, clean, breath of fresh air approach for the blog design!! I feel like in the overly cluttered world of photography blogs, I wanted a totally sleek, no fuss, fresh look that focuses on the PHOTOGRAPHY…and I feel like that is exactly what we got!! We will soon follow suit with the website! MANY THANKS to my insanely patient and talented brother in law, BEN of REDWING STUDIO! I owe you a world of thanks, Ben…for dealing with me and my endless cluelessness and questions…somehow you ALWAYS have an answer!! I don’t know how you do it!! THANK YOU!!!!!
So, now…I need a bit of help from you all!! To have COLLAGES or not? THAT IS THE QUESTION! DO YOU LIKE THE COLLAGES? OR THE STANDARD IMAGES!? I like both…and I’m terribly indecisive..which is why each post has soo many images to begin with!! PLEASE LET YOUR thoughts in the comments! THANKS for your help!

The new design looks great Jessica. I recommend you doing a combination of singles and collages. It keeps things changing and fresh.

I love the collages! I actually like it best when you do large images for the first part of the blog and teh collage at the end. Love the new blog design too!!!

Wow! Sleek for sure! I can’t wait to see what you do with your website. I personally like how you laid out the blog post of Elise & John. I like to see the images BIG! Congrats on the new design!

Love the new blog design! Ben rocks! I personally like your BIG images because your pictures are oh so gorgeous. I like the collages for detail shots. That’s just my opinion!

Awesome blog. I love seeing images big too. I find that I don’t enjoy or appreciate the images as much in the collage form. Again, this is an awesome looking blog with great images.

The color, the lighting, there so much detail in your photographs that it makes me LOVE the larger images the best. I will say though the collages are very “artsy” and different. Maybe large images for weddings and collages for the other posts?? What I DO know is I’m in love with spankin’ new blog!

Love the new look… it’s so awesome!
Personally I love individual images nice and big. I love to just stare (in awe) at each one over and over. While the collage looks beautiful… I love the anticipation of scrolling through each image one-by-one and waiting with each breath what I will see next!

I usually prefer individual picture, but your collages are a good size so I think it will work out fine. The new site looks great!

Another vote for big images with collages maybe for details. If everything is in collages, I find myself skimming and not really looking.

I say BOTH!!! The collages are cool for details and stuff, but maybe singles for images that are more beneficial blown up and/or your favorites.

Brandon and I always say, do what you like because when you start asking the opinion of others……you’ll get too many different answers. But, here goes…..one more opinion to add to the mix! I love the new sleek and clean design. I don’t care for the collage though because I feel like too many of the images run together and they are taking away from each other…..if that makes sense. I love your images and each of them makes a bold statement alone……I don’t get the same result from looking at the collage.

First - LOVE the blog! Love it! Your work is beautiful and vibrant!
I like the collages, but not for all of the images. It’s difficult for me to appreciate every image when they are together.
So maybe for the detail shots & reception??

I love the look of Big single images. If you are going for the uncluttered look, this is the way to go.

The blog is beautiful, really! What an awesome brother-in-law. I personally love the big photos, they have such a great impact and agree that you could do just the detail shots in collages.

i am incredibly indecisive myself… but i think i would go with bigger images rather than a collage — although your work shines any which-way you put it!
